Within the ECU is a place for faults to be stored if any of these sensors fail, normally if any do you will notified via a light/symbol on your dash, along with in most cases rough running. From the year 2001 all cars are fitted with a 16 pin rectangular diagnostics port, some cars before 2001 had this port also but most not, the manufactures used they own style ports causing the use of many different types of diagnostics equipment and leads! here at www.check-light-on.co.uk we can cater for older cars so no need to worry there!.
